Imam Yama, the Founder and Director of Blessed Tree, is committed to engaging with Muslim youth across the United States and Canada. With a wealth of experience, he previously served as the Dean of Faculty and lead instructor for the youth curriculum at SeekersGuidance Global Academy. There, he taught online courses in Islamic sciences to both youth and adults. He has studied privately for a number of years under several scholars, focusing on subjects like Aqida, Fiqh, Tasawwuf, Sira, and other sciences. Imam Yama's passion for working with youth developed during his tenure as Imam of the Islamic Society of Santa Barbara. He worked closely with the MSA at UCSB, taught children in the community, and served as a guest speaker at religious and non-faith based organizations and educational institutions. His primary goal is to provide Muslim youth with a strong foundation in Islamic principles and spiritual purification. He aims to guide them in strengthening their faith and understanding their Muslim identities while navigating the challenges of living in the West. Currently, Imam Yama resides in Canada where he leads local prayers and classes, while also teaching online serving the global community through Blessed Tree.
